Our Beginnings

In the winter of 2002, a group of like-minded undergraduate pre-law students at UCLA came together with the goal of creating a professional community dedicated to students interested in law. After gathering the necessary support, they established a chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity International, laying the foundation for the brotherhood and traditions that continue within our chapter today.

In Fall 2009, the organization began a new chapter by rechartering as the Beta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Pi. Since then, KAPi at UCLA has continued to grow as a close-knit community centered on professionalism, service, and brotherhood, supported by generations of active members and alumni.

Where It Began

A group of UCLA pre-law students recognized that while campus offered professional fraternities across numerous fields, there was no equivalent community dedicated specifically to students interested in law.

WINTER 2002

The Founding Class

After gathering the signatures necessary to receive a charter, the founding members established the Alpha Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity at UCLA.

A New Chapter

Seeking to uphold and expand upon the ideals established by previous generations, the brothers rechartered during Fall Quarter 2009.

Kappa Alpha Pi

The organization became the Beta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Pi, beginning the chapter we know today.
